Nuclear Decomissioning Authority

The NDA’s work, cleaning up the UK’s nuclear legacy, is the largest, most important environmental restoration programme in Europe. NDA reports to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). For some aspects of its work in Scotland, it is responsible to Scottish ministers.

It is a non-departmental public body created through the Energy Act 2004.
