Congratulations to former nucleargraduate Peter Edwards who has been named in the Forbes’ 30 under 30 in Europe (Read more). Peter completed the nucleargraduates programme in April 2012 undertaking secondments with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), The Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC), Costain Ltd, the Low Level Waste Repository (LLWR) and the British Embassy, Beijing. The inaugural 30 under 30 list highlights the brightest young talent across various sectors. Well done Peter on an exceptional achievement.
‘I was recently named on the Forbes’ first ever 30 under 30 Europe list, and I think it was largely down to the skills and experience that I gained as a nucleargraduate.
My International secondment took me to the British Embassy in Beijing, China, where I was involved in the very early stages of the recent landmark UK-China nuclear deal. In 2013 I took a delegation of 14 Chinese nuclear decision makers to the UK, with the aim of showcasing the UK’s nuclear capability.
Since then a lot has happened, and I’m now General Manager of China Carbon Forum (www.chinacarbon.info), responsible for its overall business development and organisational management.
Without nucleargraduates, and all the support I received from it, I would definitely not have achieved as much as I have! Thanks Guys!’
