    Your 2 year programme as a Cyber Security nucleargraduate will see you taking part in a range of projects and initiatives with partners across the UK nuclear sector.

    With cyber security skills in great demand this programme offers you the opportunity to work with sector experts and develop your understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls and mitigation measures. You will take part in projects developing security design and architecture, investigations and responses securing outcomes in a legal and regulatory context.

    You will develop technical skills and professional skills that will enable you to make a substantial contribution to the sectors objectives and security.

    The nucleargraduates programme and its sponsors have developed an attractive package of support that reflects your, and your sponsors, ambitions for your development as a nuclear professional. 

    The package includes: 

    • Salary Year One – £26,000
    • Salary Year Two – £27,000
    • Welcome Hello – £1,000
    • Flexible CPD Budget – £3,500
    • Travel Budget – £5,500
    • Core Training & Development £9,000

    Total Two Year Package: £72,000

  • Pathways & Footprints

    In between secondments your cohort will come together for residential training and development sessions. These pathways will focus on developing both your technical and behavioural competencies, these include;

    •  Induction to the Nuclear Industry
    • Communication
    • Teamwork
    • Adaptability / flexibility
    • Business Awareness
    • Leadership
    • Problem Solving

    These are critical skills needed by the nuclear sector and will help you to develop your knowledge, skills and experience alongside your fellow nucleargraduates.

    Footprints

    Footprints is our corporate social responsibility programme that sits at the heart of the nucleargraduates scheme. During your two years, 10% of your total time on the programme will be dedicated to Footprints activity.

    During this time you will become a Science Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) ambassador, passing your knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation. You’ll establish a start-up company to help understand the challenges that small companies face and you’ll work with local community projects where you’ll meet some inspirational individuals. You will also have the opportunity, as part of a cohort of nucleargraduates, to undertake a footprint that will drive your understanding of the sector at a community level. This could be within the UK or an international opportunity that you will develop.

    Footprints is your chance to affect real change in the real world, allowing you to engage with and understand the communities we work in and with. This is a platform for you to demonstrate the skills you have acquired, develop your understanding and gain experiences that are unique to the nucleargraduates programme.
